Adedolapo, Nwachukwu rule police darts

Queeneth Nwachukwu  at the weekend won the women’s  singles  at  the 2nd Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim idris  Darts Competition at the Police College  in Lagos to defend her title.

The  Inspector,  who represented  Zone 6, was followed  in the second place by Sergeant  Mary Erhire  also of Zone 6.  Force Headquarters’  Sergeant  Henrietta Ogunbona  came third.

Zone 11’s  Inspector Alao Adedolapo  retained his men’s singles  title while  Inspector Adeyemi Saheed took second and  Sergeant  Akano Uche third.

The mixed doubles title was won by  Force Headquarters’ duo Inspector Esther Irabor and  Inspector Olaore Olatunde.

Event coordinator and secretary of the  Nigeria  Police Darts Sports Martha Nwokolo  commended the participants.

The Assistant  Superintend also praised  the IG for his contribution to the development of darts in the country .

Chairman of the Police Darts Association DCP Isyaku Mohammed   commended the athletes for maintaining discipline throughout the event and  promised that the  third edition  next year would be bigger and better.

Police Force Sports Secretary Mark Balogun expressed his satisfaction with  the standard displayed by the players.
